Grand Knight's Report - February, 2011

Brother Knights.   Hope that all have had a good month since our last meeting. We are now well into the new year and we should resolve to invigorate our efforts regarding our relationships with our family and friends. further to renew our commitment towards the Knights of Columbus. If you know of a brother knight that is not active, please attempt to encourage him to return to council meetings and become involved. further ask a fellow Catholic parishioner to become a knight.

 

The following are upcoming events and communications received since our last General Meeting.

 

Notes from Chapter:  

• Applications for the State Scholarship Program must be submitted to the State Office  annually by May 31^st.    Details for criteria and the application forms can be found on Council’s website    

Past Events: 

• Padre night was held February 17, at the Polish Club. We had a great turn out. Thanks to all who attended.

• Basketball Free Throw February 16. Thanks to Brother Elmer Stang for organizing this event once again. Thank you to all who came out to help and thanks to the Fourth Degree who provided a Colour Corp for the opening ceremonies.

Upcoming events:

• February 28 - Annual General Meeting of the Columbus Society

• March 1 - the next council meeting

• March 5 - CppS Mission Water Gala

• April 3 - the Family Funspiel

• April 29,30 and May 1 - Annual State Convention in Calgary

• May 7th - Grand Knight's Ball

• May 14 - Major Degree in Calgary

And don't forget to purchase Store cards after any of the Masses on the weekends.
